If you’ve recently been offered a university place at one of Bristol’s esteemed universities, then congrats! Before accepting your offer there’s of lot of things about the city that you will need to consider to make sure that it is the right choice for you.

The city of Bristol is renowned for its street art, in fact you wont be able to miss it when you are wandering around getting to know the place. There are a number of guided street art tours that you can join to fully immerse yourself in the culture, you’ll see murals from Upfest and even Banksy pieces.
Aside from street art, Bristol is also full of interesting museums to visit if you fancy something else a bit educational and insightful. There is a range of museums showcasing all sorts of history and exhibits from archaeology, natural history, science and aerospace. The great thing about museums is that they are usually free entry meaning that you can save some of your student budget.

The music scene in Bristol is booming, with live music filling up the calendar every week there is a type of event for every type and taste of music. For when you need some retail therapy as an escape from university assignments, Bristol has plenty to offer. If you’re looking for highstreet heaven then Cabot Circus or Cribbs Causeway have what you need, with an endless amount of shops you can easily spend a full day and not visit all of them. If vintage is more your thing, visiting Gloucester Road and Park Street are best for second hand shopping sprees.
